PRESS AND RELEASE
WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM

The Press and Release Program for weight loss and balance has been designed to provide the best chance to overcome your constant hunger and longing for foods.  Utilizing Ear Acupressure & Chinese herbs will help restore your body to a more robust and vital state. TCM shows that a little, of a lot of different foods, is the best way for your body to make Qi (energy). WE recommend that food consumption, like that of Diminishing Dimension's Program, along with moderate exercise will help further your success in this program.

It is a shared responsibility, as patient and practitioner, to be ever mindful of this program’s purpose.
To be aware of cravings, energy changes, digestion & mood will help us help you!

About the Modalities:

Auricular Therapy (Ear Acupressure): has its origins in ancient China (400-500 B.C.) and uses the ear to help diagnose and treat disorders of the body.  It is an orderly arrangement of over 200 points based upon the inverted fetus perspective of the body. The mechanism of healing is achieved by treating the underlying condition and by affecting deeper physiological changes by facilitating the natural self-healing properties of the body. Ear Acupressure is a safe and effective method to help maintain and regain balance in the body by using tiny ear seeds, magnets and ball bearings (silver, gold and metal).     It is a painless and positive technique that has been extremely helpful in treating addiction to food, drugs, alcohol and cigarettes as well as helping with emotional disorders.   NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) is an organization that has been using Auriculotherapy for over 30 years with more than 500 clinical sites in the US, Europe, Australia, & the Caribbean. Their protocol is derived directly from the Chinese Medical theory of detoxification.

Susan Lipper, RN, MA is a nurse who works primarily with cancer patients and has been doing this work for more than 20 years. Her study of Traditional Chinese Medicine began when Western Medicine offered no help to her beloved pet who suffered horrible allergies. Susan soon found that Traditional Chinese Medicine provided a way to compliment Western Medicine and she continued her training of TCM both in China and in the U.S. She is ever the advocate for the integration of Chinese Medicine into the Western health arena. Susan expanded her practice to include Auricular (Ear) Acupressure and finds this modality to be her passion due to its effectiveness and non-invasive technique.

Chinese Herbal Therapy: centuries old Chinese herbal formulas have been used to help the body use food as energy. These formulas are specific to the needs of the individual and enhance the body’s ability to heal itself. Concentrated, all natural herb tea in capsules ensures each person can stay true to the program and effect great changes. Using a Chinese differential diagnosis to determine imbalances in the body and the emotional state of the person brings profound healing. Health issues that are prevalent when the body is overweight can be overcome with the right intention for change!

Laura Mignosa, NCCH is the director of the Connecticut Institute for Herbal Studies, educator of Chinese Herbology and a Nationally Certified Chinese Herbologist since1995. She enjoys a busy private practice at the school and at Grant Chiropractic Health Care in Southington. She is Western and China trained and brings students and adventurers to China each year to be exposed to the hospitals of Beijing and the culture and wonder that IS China. With over 14 years of experience in Chinese Medicine, her expertise is rewarded with great success in treating her patients and training new Chinese Herbologists.

Each modality offers it's own strength in healing, however we believe the use of these tools
together will benefit each person in reaching the goal of staying healthy and strong for a lifetime.
