Integrating Facial Rejuvenation into YOUR Practice

Sept 12,13: Acupressure’s power for facial rejuvenation manifests in different ways: It helps the body regulate the free flow of Qi and blood to facilitate nutrient absorption. It encourages lymph drainage and enhances the skin’s ability to “breathe.” It stimulates the skin’s own ability for collagen production, softening the skin and smoothing wrinkles, and promotes normal secretion from the sweat and oil glands. It regulates and stimulates internal organ system function and promotes muscle contraction. This two day workshop you will learn the massage techniques and acupressure points incorporated into a facial rejuvenation routine. You will learn the muscles and nerves that are accessed during a facial and how the routine relaxes taut muscles and stimulates the nervous system to tighten the slack muscles. Your clients will love how they look, and feel as it not only rejuvenates the face – but the whole body as well! There will practice sessions on both days. Facial rejuvenation can become an income generating part of your practice as a stand alone offering – or a half hour add-on to the standard massage. It is also helpful to you as the therapist as it involves much less wear and tear on the body than standard massage!! Please bring sheets, towel, your own personal face lotion, massage oil and washcloth. Facial masks will be provided – but please bring your own if you have sensitive skin. (NCBTMB CEU Hours Granted) Presented by Marybeth Keener, Chem, LMT, CCH Time: 9:30 - 4:30 PM
