Traditional
Chinese Medicine Theory
Time: 9:30 -
4:00 PM
Cost: $389.00
Presented by: Laura Mignosa, NCCH
(Pre-
Requisite for the Chinese Herbology Program or Stand Alone Course)
This is a powerful course for anyone interested in the Differential
Diagnosis of Traditional Chinese Medicine and it's uses today.
Aroma therapists, Body workers, Massage
therapists, and other wellness practitioners benefit from
incorporating this holistic perspective of the human energetic systems.
Through recognition of patterns, TCM describes disharmonies without
diagnosing disease. By studying this material, patients of TCM
practitioners can increase their understanding of the perspective of
Chinese medicine, and participate more fully in their treatment.
This course also serves as the foundation on
which our Chinese Herbology Intensive is built upon. All our courses are
taught with an emphasis on clinical diagnosis as practiced in China today.
Course Objective: Among the distinctive
perspectives of Traditional Chinese Medicine is the Eight Principle theory. The Eight Principle theory is the
foundation for differential diagnosis. This course offers a student the opportunity to learn about the
terminology and diagnostic skills needed for accurately recognizing the clinical signs and
symptoms of the patterns of disharmonies. (28 CEU hours)

Clinical Herb/Food Intensive for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Digestive
Disorders (11 PDA)
Time: Saturday 9-5 PM / Sunday 9-3
PM
Cost: $329.00
Presented by Anastacia White, CH
Understanding the diverse presentation and
complexity of a person with chronic fatigue can be an overwhelming task
for any practitioner. This seminar presents in a concise manner a
differential diagnosis, the varied pattern expressions, and treatment
protocols for this disorder.
Chronic
digestive problem is a common clinical presentation in medical practice
and often a pattern in chronic fatigue. Since digestive disorders are so
clearly linked to diet and lifestyle, it can be difficult to obtain
lasting improvement with
patients. The second half of the seminar
includes diagnosis and use of both herbal and dietary treatment protocols
for digestive disorders.
Participants will learn how to differentiate between seemingly similar
herbal formulas for treatment of chronic fatigue and digestive disorders.
Select formulas from Three Treasures, Golden Flower and Health Concerns will be presented.
ANASTACIA
WHITE has been a practitioner and teacher of Chinese medicine, working in
the herbal industry since 1984. Ms. White conducts seminars throughout the
United States
and lectures internationally on Chinese herbs and medical theory. She has
centered her educational offerings to those practitioners who come to TCM
from other medical backgrounds. Anastacia has for many years trained
physicians of the
American
Academy
of Medical Acupuncture and comes highly recommended by Academy board
members.
Ms. White
has had the good fortune to have studied with Chinese herbalists and
authors revered for bringing Oriental medical methodologies and
philosophies to the West including: Subhuti Dharmananda, Ph.D., Ted
Kaptchuk, OMD and Giovanni Maciocia, Medical Acupuncturist.
Ms.
White is known for her ability to present obscure Chinese medical
paradigms in a concise and accessible format particularly useful to the
western-trained practitioner. Her teaching style allows the information to
become available in a practical manner that is easily comprehended by
workshop attendees.
While
Anastacia is adept at presenting complicated Oriental medical concepts,
her down to earth approach makes these teachings accessible to interested
nonprofessionals. Her seminars and workshops in addition to being greatly
informative are also deeply inspiring.

Chinese
Herbology
Program
(Certificate of Completion awarded)
See Outline below for
dates:
Time: 9:00 Am - 4:00PM Cost: $2395.00
(It
should be noted that at this time, no state has authorized separate
licensing for practicing herbologists. In many states, only acupuncturists
or Naturopaths can legally
prescribe herbs
using a western diagnosis. However... that does
not prevent an herbologist from suggesting formulas in accordance with Chinese Medical Theory)
So it is not using
or suggesting herbs that is at issue...but diagnosing a Western-named disease without having a medical license. There are thousands of herbalists in America and Europe. (In
the West, Herbologists have been accepted as healers for hundreds of
years.
In China, Herbalists have been mainstays of the medical healing
arts for thousands of years.)
"Looking
around the room and seeing some of your students that were selected to
participate
at this West
Hartford Event, must have made you proud -
YOU have made Chinese
Medicine a real force in Connecticut.
So many of your students have become successful and happy -you helped
make that a reality.
We are a living testament that a person can follow their passion and
make a living out of it.
Your classes and China trips are what have provided the ability to do
that!" M.K. Danielson,CT
