28 Depart JFK for China & cross the int’l dateline.

Oct 29 Arrive in Beijing at 6:00 PM and transfer to 5 * Regent Hotel. Evening at leisure.
Sat Oct
30 Enjoy a Full-day tour to the Great Wall at Jiayuguan Pass. We
will also have a “Dutch treat” lunch at the famous Commune Hotel built
on the Han Dynasty Hunting Grounds. We return to Beijing this evening.
Explore the NIGHT Market tonight or have a reflexology treatment. (B)
Sun. Oct 31 Prepare to be astounded by the Forbidden City
& Tian’An Men Square. After a lovely Chinese Lunch, explore the Summer
Palace. (B, L)
Mon. Nov 1 Free day to explore Beijing and do some serious
bargaining! (B)
Tues. Nov 2 This day is for enjoying the wonderful city of
Beijing. Tonight we have the rare opportunity of taking an overnight
train to Xi'an. We will all meet to have a small dinner before going to
the train station this evening. Dutch treat! (B)
Wed. Nov 3 We arrive
Xi'an and are transported to the beautiful 5 star Sofitel Hotel inside
the ancient city walls. We will have breakfast and freshen up before
exploring the city at leisure. Maybe the Muslim Quarter? (B)
Thurs. Nov 4 Today we are
astounded by the Terra Cotta Soldiers and if time permits we will tour
some cave dwellings along the way. (B, L)
Fri Nov 5 We depart Xi'an this afternoon and are
transported to the airport for our flight to Lijiang. This is one of the
last matriarchal cities in the world and is located at the base of the
Himalayas. We will be staying inside the 800 year old Dayan city at 5*
Grand Hotel by the Water Wheel. (B, L)
Sat Nov 6 It will be a day of
wonder as we wander through the canal streets, view the Black Dragon
Pond & make a trip to Jade Snow Mountain’s Plateau by ski lift. Lijiang
was the inspiration for “Lost Horizons”. The Naxi Culture is derived
from Tibet, Nepal and Mongolia and very interesting. Enjoy this evening
at leisure. (B, L)

Tues Nov 9 This morning, we fly to Chengdu and are transferred to
the 5 * Sheraton Lido Hotel in the city’s center.
Enjoy a Traditional Tea Ceremony, Ex-ceptional Local Lunch and
Antique Market Shopping today, made possible by:
The Green Tea House of West Hartford,whose
original family teahouse is in Chengdu. We will also be treated to a
Foot Massage Treatment as we explore the culture of this Buddhist city

Wed Nov 10 Today it is
off to the Panda Reserve! Evening at leisure (B, L)
Thurs Nov 11 We
depart Chendgu this morning and arrive Beijing (11:30 AM). We transfer
to the Regent hotel. We have the rest of the day and evening to purchase
last minute gifts and enjoy the city for one last time. (B)

We depart Beijing today to arrive JFK on this very afternoon. (B)
