Depart JFK for
China
& cross the int’l dateline.
Fri.
Oct 29 Arrive in
Beijing
at 6:00PM and transfer to Regent
Hotel ~ Evening at leisure.
Sat
Oct 30 Enjoy a Full-day tour to
the Great Wall (Badaling section), and the Qinglong Gorge with lunch and
return to
Beijing
in the late afternoon. You may wish to see the NIGHT Market tonight. (B, L)
Sun.
Oct 31
Prepare to be astounded by the
Forbidden City
& Tian’An
Men Square
. After a lovely Chinese Lunch, explore the
Summer
Palace

Mon.
Nov 1 Free day to
explore Beijing and do some serious bargaining! (B)
Tues. Nov 2 This day
is for enjoying the wonderful city of Beijing and we will experience the
rare opportunity of taking an overnight train to Xi'an. We will all meet to
have a small dinner before going to the train station this evening. (B)
Wed.
Nov 3 We arrive in Xi'an and are transported to the beautiful 5
star Sofitel Hotel inside the ancient city walls. We will have breakfast and
freshen up before exploring the city at leisure.
Thurs. Nov 4
Today we are astounded by the Terra Cotta Soldiers and if time permits we
will tour some cave dwellings along the way. (B, L)
Fri
Nov 5 We will depart Xi'an and be transferred to the
airport for our flight to Lijiang.
This is one of the last matriarchal
cities in the world and is located at the base of the Himalayas.
We will
be staying inside the old city (800 years old) and enjoying the view of the
waterwheel at the Grand Hotel. The rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Sat
Nov 6 It will be a day of wonder as we tour
the old city, wander the canal streets, view the Black Dragon Pond & make a
trip to Jade Snow Mountain by ski lift. Enjoy this evening on your own (B,L)
Sun Nov. 7 Today is a
free day but you may wish to take advantage of a side trip to Logu Lake,
home of the Bai Women. This is a 2 hour bus ride thru the mountains to one
of the most beautiful places on earth. (cost to be determined)(B)
Mon Nov 8 Today we go to see
Tiger Leaping Gorge, the Chinese' Grand Canyon. (B, L)
Tues
Nov 9 We depart Lijiang and fly back to
Beijing. Upon arrival, we are transported back to the Regent hotel with the
rest of the day at leisure (B)
Wed Nov 10 Free day to buy last
minute gifts and say goodbye to this wonderful city
Thurs Nov 11 We depart Beijing this morning to
arrive JFK on this very afternoon.

sightseeing and evening events at very reasonable prices.
