Thurs      Oct 28     Depart JFK for China & cross the int’l dateline.

Fri           Oct 29    Arrive in Beijing at 6:00PM and transfer to Regent Hotel ~ Evening   at leisure.

Sat          Oct 30    Enjoy a Full-day tour to the Great Wall at Shui Guan Pass, a special part of the Great Wall. We will
                             have our lunch (Dutch Treat) at the Commune, an awarding winning architectural hotel built on
                             the Han Dynasty's Hunting Grounds and provides access to an unrestored part of the wall. The
                             Commune offers a lovely atmosphere for an afternoon lunch. You may wish to see the NIGHT
                             Market tonight.  (Breakfast)

Sun        Oct 31    Prepare to be astounded by the Forbidden City & Tian’An Men Square . After a lovely Chinese
                             Lunch, explore the Summer Palace .

Mon         Nov 1     Free day to explore Beijing and do some serious bargaining! (Breakfast, Lunch)

Tues       Nov 2     This day is for enjoying the wonderful city of Beijing and we will experience 
                             the rare opportunity of taking an overnight train to Xi'an. We will all meet to have
                             a small dinner before going to the train station this evening.  (Breakfast)

Wed       Nov 3      We arrive in Xi'an and are transported to the beautiful 5 star Sofitel Hotel inside
                              the ancient city walls. We will have breakfast and freshen up before exploring the
                              city at leisure. (Breakfast)

Thurs     Nov 4      Today we are astounded by the Terra Cotta Soldiers and if time permits we will
                             tour some cave dwellings along the way.  (Breakfast)

Fri          Nov 5     We will depart Xi'an and be transferred to the airport for our flight to Lijiang.     
                             This is one of the last matriarchal cities in the world and is located at the base of  the Himalayas. 
                             We will be staying inside the old city (800 years old) and enjoying the view of the waterwheel at
                              the Grand Hotel. The rest of the day at leisure.  (Breakfast, Lunch)

Sat        Nov 6       It will be a day of wonder as we tour the old city, wander the canal streets,  
                             view the Black Dragon Pond & make a trip to Jade Snow Mountain by ski lift. Enjoy
                             this evening on your own (Breakfast)

Sun,      Nov. 7      Today we go to see Tiger Leaping Gorge, the Chinese' Grand Canyon.  (Breakfast, Lunch)

Mon       Nov 8       We depart Lijiang late today do we have an additional day to enjoy the cobblestone streets, and
                              water canals. We will leave Lijiang and fly to Chengdu tonight. Upon arrival, we are transported
                              to the Sheraton Lido Hotel.   (Breakfast, Lunch)

Tues      Nov 9       Today we take an unbelievable tour of the Panda Reserve and get to observe these beautiful
                              animals and maybe take some pictures with them! (Breakfast)

Wed      Nov 10     We have a 1/2 day tour of Chengdu and then are free to wander on our own.  (Breakfast, Lunch)

Thurs     Nov 11     We depart Chengdu this morning and arrive Beijing around 11:30 AM. We are transferred to the
                              Regent Hotel. The rest of the day and evening is free for us to make our last minute purchases.

Fri.       Nov. 12      We depart Beijing and arrive at JFK this afternoon. (Breakfast)

 Free days can be used for additional sightseeing and evening events at very reasonable prices. Offerings will include: Peking Opera & Duck Dinner, Kung Fu Show, Tang Dynasty Dumpling Dinner & Show in Xian, Ancient Naxi Orchestra in Lijiang. Just ask our Guides to help arrange for you!
